Here again are not-quite-matching greys anchored by black shoes. To date, I have bought only five articles of clothing this year (not including foundations and workout wear), all by Rick Owens, all grey, all from YOOX.com, save for one black tank. What clothing have you purchased this year? Anything from RO?
Among the few items on my 2014 shopping list was a Pamela Love eagle claw earring. Since she appeared on the style scene, her mysterious and edgy pieces have tempted me on multiple occasions; however it was always when I was least interested in acquiring jewelry. Well, I'm past that now. Pictured is my first Pamela Love acquisition and I could not be more pleased with it. You may remember it from previous outfit posts.
You can buy both earrings for a matching set (they're sold individually). I can't imagine wanting both, though, because when wearing a large talon through one's earlobe, less is absolutely enough.
What jewelry have you purchased this year? What's on your wish list? A few of my wish list items plus the claw earring are pictured below.
How's your summer going (or, winter if in southern hemisphere)? I call this my summer of transformation: I'm catching up on things that have been neglected, undertaking challenging and rewarding projects, planning for future endeavors, and living healthfully, compassionately and mindfully. It's a big job but somebody's got to do it, right? The time is now. What changes have you made recently?
My new(ish) Lucchese boots were featured on the blog in an outfit post (29.4.14) and also on Instagram. Still, I thought it was time to show them up close and personal. If you've followed my blog for a while, it's clear that I'm a big fan of boots, and that I wear them year-round. My first instance of boot love was at age three or four. I "wore" my father's western boots, clomping around the house, loud and proud. There's a photo somewhere...
Now that I live in Texas, how could I not add a pair of western boots to my collection - as long as they're relatively plain, black, and go with my Rick Owens based wardrobe. Lucchese Mad Dog boots fit my aesthetic and my feet like a dream. And yes, I even wear them in 100F heat.
Do you wear boots year-round? Do you ever wear western boots?
